Flight Training
It is the instructor’s first entitlement. With the FI (A) qualification, you can train pilots for the LAPL (A) and PPL (A) licenses, both in theoretical and practical courses.
– Practical Training : 30 hours minimum flight time.
– Theoretical Training: 125 hours theory course. The theoretical training ends with internal examinations at the ATO.
Requirements:
- Medical requirements : Medical certificate class 2. (Medical certificate class 1 also accepted)
- Age : 18
- PPL (A) license and command flying time (PIC) 150 hours (total flight time 200 hours), CPL (A) theory exams passed (AMC.FCL.1.470 (b). You may not have passed CPL (A) theory exams ), but then you can only train pilots for LAPL (A) and nothing else. or: CPL (A) or ATPL (A) license and a flight command (PIC) of 100 hours - Practical Training : 45 hours minimum flight time.
- Have a flight time of 30 hours on SEP airplanes, including at least 5 hours during the 6 months prior to the qualifying examination (FCL.930.FI (a)).
- Passing a qualifying examination (in accordance with JAR.FCL.1.330 (f) and Appendix 3 to JAR.FCL.1.240) within 6 months prior to the commencement of the FI (A) course, with an instructor qualified in accordance with FCL.905.FI lit. and)
- Have a minimum of 10 dual-field instrument hours, including no more than 5 hours in an FNPT II simulator.
- Have at least 20 hours of flight time (X-country) as a commander (PIC), including a flight of at least 300NM, with two full stop landings at two different airports.
- Have at least 15 hours in the type or class of aircraft on which the training is to be conducted.
